An article co-written by Peter Fenton, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, has been published in The Champion, the journal of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Titled “The Class of ’63: Major Supreme Court Cases of the 1963 Term,” this article summarized significant criminal law and civil rights cases decided by the U.S. Supreme Court during its 1963 term, which included the landmark decisions in Brady v. Maryland and Gideon v. Wainwright.
Professor Fenton and co-author Michael B. Shapiro have had several articles published in The Champion. Other recent journal contributors have included Attorney General Eric Holder and Barry Scheck, who was a member of the O.J. Simpson defense team and is a founder of the Innocence Project.
